Bok Choy With Soy, Garlic And Ginger

This recipe can be prepared as a side dish as shown in the picture or double the amount and serve with boiled rice as a meat-free main

Ingredients for 1

  • 2 heads of bok choy

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

  • 1 clove garlic grated

  • 2cm piece of fresh ginger grated

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 Tbsp rape seed oil


  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 176.0ºF / 80.0ºC.

  • Step 2

    Quarter bok choy lengthwise and add to zip lock bag

  • Step 3

    Add grated ginger and garlic together in a bowl

  • Step 4

    Add sesame and rape seed oil to a pan, heat until smoking

  • Step 5

    Pour hot oil over garlic and ginger, it will bubble furiously

  • Step 6

    Add soy and fish sauce to ginger and garlic mixture and pour over bok choy

  • Step 7

    Seal bag and add to Anova, cook for 20mins at 80C

  • Step 8

    Bag may be weighed down with bulldog clip and spoons in order to ensure fully submerged
