Ingredients for 4

  • 4-6 bratwurst

  • Low carb beer of your choice

  • Mini colored peppers or poblano peppers

  • Onion skewered

  • Fresh naturally fermented sauerkraut

  • Mustard

  • Sugar free BBQ sauce

  • A handful of soaked wood chips of your choice

Directions

  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 155ºF / 68.3ºC

  • Step 2

    Place brats in Foodsaver bag and add a splash of your favorite low carb beer

  • Step 3

    Seal the bag on moist setting Cook for 2 hours

  • Step 4

    When the cooking time is up you can plunge the bag of brats into an ice bath to finish the next day or move onto the finishing stage.

    • Fire Up The Smoker, Grill Or Oven

    • Step 0

      Preheat the grill and add wood chips if desired.

    • Step 1

      Grill, peppers onion and brats for about 5 minutes or until you have nice grill marks. Try not to puncture the casing on the brats while flipping to keep them juicy.

    • Step 2

      Option B: Finish over a nice wood fire.

    • Step 3

      Grilled ploblano, just peel the skin off.

    • Step 4

      Serve with fresh sauerkraut, mustard or BBQ sauce.
