Keto Smokey Beer Brats & Peppers
This is by far my favorite way of cooking brats! They turn out perfectly cooked, juicy with a great texture. I prefer to finish over charcoal for a nice smoky char.

Ingredients
- 4-6 bratwurst
- Low carb beer of your choice
- Mini colored peppers or poblano peppers
- Onion skewered
- Fresh naturally fermented sauerkraut
- Mustard
- Sugar free BBQ sauce
- A handful of soaked wood chips of your choice
Directions
- Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 155ºF / 68.3ºC
- Place brats in Foodsaver bag and add a splash of your favorite low carb beer
- Seal the bag on moist setting
Cook for 2 hours
- When the cooking time is up you can plunge the bag of brats into an ice bath to finish the next day or move onto the finishing stage.
Fire Up The Smoker, Grill Or Oven
- Preheat the grill and add wood chips if desired.
- Grill, peppers onion and brats for about 5 minutes or until you have nice grill marks.
Try not to puncture the casing on the brats while flipping to keep them juicy.
- Option B: Finish over a nice wood fire.
- Grilled ploblano, just peel the skin off.
- Serve with fresh sauerkraut, mustard or BBQ sauce.
