Ingredients for 4

  • 4 Costco top sirloin steaks, approx. 2 inches

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Bacon & chive powder

Directions

  • Step 1

    Preheat water bath to 135

  • Step 2

    Pat steaks dry and season to taste

  • Step 3

    Place steaks in single layer in ziploc freezer bags and seal with water displacement method

  • Step 4

    Cook in water bath for 2 hours

      Preheat cast iron skillet on high or medium-high

    • Step 1

      Add a small amount of avocado oil to skillet

    • Step 2

      Remove steaks from bag and pat dry

    • Step 3

      Add butter and garlic cloves to skillet

    • Step 4

      Spoon butter on top of steak while the bottom sears

    • Step 5

      Flip steaks and continue spooning butter until completely seared

    • Step 6

      Add steaks to skillet
