Ingredients for 4

  • 20 ounces of organic beef

  • Cabot Cheddar Cheese

  • Dale's Marinade

  • Garlic Powder

  • Pepper

  • Morton's Nature's Seasoning

  • Smoked Paprika

Directions

  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 137.0ºF / 58.3ºC.

  • Step 2

    Marinade beef with desired spices for over an hour. I prefer to start the marinade the night before the burgers are cooked.

  • Step 3

    Form thin patties placing cheddar cheese in the middle of half the patties. Take another thin patty and place on top of cheese and seal all sides keeping cheese inside.

  • Step 4

    Place burgers inside of vacuum seal bags and cook for 1 hour.

      Once the burgers are finished, remove them from the bag and pat dry.

    • Step 1

      Heat cast iron skillet or pan and sear each side for 1 minute. When wearing the second side place a slice of cheddar cheese on top and take burger off once the cheese is melted.

    • Step 2

      Butter hamburger buns and place butter side down on the skillet for 15-30 seconds.

    • Step 3

      Once the cheese is melted and the buns are toasted load the burgers up with your condiments of choice and you'll have a savory hamburger.
