Ingredients for 12

  • 12 4 oz Mason jars with 2 piece lids

  • 12 large eggs

  • 8 oz cream cheese / neufchatel cheese

  • 4 oz gruyere, shredded

  • 5-8 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled

  • 1 tsp salt, to taste

  • 1 tsp black pepper, to taste

  • Butter for greasing jars

  • Chopped green onions (for toppings)

Directions

  • Step 1

    Preheat your Anova to 171 degrees.

  • Step 2

    Lightly grease the bottom and sides inside all 12 jars.

  • Step 3

    In a large mixing bowl, combine eggs, cream cheese, salt and pepper and beat until smooth.

  • Step 4

    Shred the gruyere and divide evenly into the bottom of each jar.

  • Step 5

    Crumble the bacon and divide evenly into the bottom of each jar.

  • Step 6

    Pour egg mixture into each jar (about 1/2 cup per jar).

  • Step 7

    Seal jars finger tight and immerse in water bath for 1 hour.

  • Step 8

    Remove from water after 1 hour and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

    • Finishing Steps

      Run a butter knife around the sides of the jar and turn out onto a plate.

    • Step 1

      Top with green onion or sour cream and enjoy!

    • Step 2

      To reheat, microwave on medium heat for 30-60 seconds.
