I am a plant-based, vegetarian food lover who loves the challenge of cooking them up in a way that's delicious, affordable, and easy. www.plantbasedandbroke.com
Ingredients for 2
8 oz tempeh
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspooon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 190ºF / 87.8ºC
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add tempeh. Then, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the tempeh from the pot and cut in half. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Place the tempeh inside a reusable silicone or ziplock bag. Pour in the marinade. Slowly lower the bag to push the air out. Finally, seal the bag and drop it into the water bath. Cook for 1.5 hours at 190 degrees F.
Remove the tempeh from the bag. Cut the tempeh block into 1/2 inch thick strips, lengthwise.
Add about 2 tablespoons of oil to a pan over medium-heat. Cook the tempeh strips on each side for 2 minutes. Remove from pan and serve.
