Only 5 minutes prep with a one minute pan fry after it comes out of the sous vide bath. It doesn't get any easier than this recipe, If you are new to sous vide give this foolproof method a try. I like to cook the point portion of the corned beef as it is fattier than the flat portion. The long 36-48 hour cook breaks down the connective tissues nicely. Very flavorful and nice texture, never boil again!

Ingredients for 4

  • Corned beef point or flat

  • Spice package that comes with the meat

Directions

  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 140ºF / 60.0ºC

  • Step 2

    Rinse corned beef really well and pat dry with paper towel, sprinkle spice package over meat.

  • Step 3

    Seal in a Foodsaver bag

  • Step 4

    Preheat sous vid to 140 degrees Cook for 36 to 48 hours

      Reserve sous vide juice to cook cabbage and vegetables

    • Step 1

      Pour a Tbsp of your favorite oil into a hot frying pan and sear for about a minute per side.

    • Step 2

      This corned beef can be made ahead of time and sliced cold, with a gentle reheat.
