Ingredients for 6

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Dried Onion

  • Minced Garlic

  • Italian seasoning

  • Eye Round Oven Roast (1.5kg)

Directions

  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 130.0ºF / 54.4ºC.

  • Step 2

    Seal the roast and spices in a vacuum tight bag

  • Step 3

    Submerge sealed roast in the water. Cook for minimum of 17 hrs. A lid on the container will help prevent water loss

  • Step 4

    Preheat the high temperature grill

  • Step 5

    Remove roast from water bath and open bag. Save the dripping for a starter for fantastic gravy

  • Step 6

    Pat dry the roast with paper towel. Removing the moisture will allow for a faster high temperature grilling.

      Season the roast. Apply a small amount of butter to the outside of the roast and sprinkle the seasoning over the whole outside. The butter helps the spices stick and help finish the exterior of the roast.

    • Step 1

      Grill for approximately 1min at high temperature each side of the roast to give the perfect finish to the exterior. Do not over grill and risk losing the perfect medium rare roast

      Slice and serve
