Directions

  1. One ounce of beans to every 8 ounces of spirits. If desired, split a bean or two lengthwise. Use a 16 ounce mason jar for best results. Check for lid leak. Place jars into tank with some heated water, weight jars down with one or two plates. Add warm water to above minimum circulator line, then set temperature to 135° and time to 96 hours.
  2. Activate the Anova circulator, ensuring water level is above minimum line. BE SURE TO CHECK BEFORE GOING TO BED!
  3. After Anova bath, place in a cool, dark location and shake twice a day for a couple of weeks. Then, shake once a week for about 3 months and begin testing with a teaspoon of extract in a tablespoon of half and half. Adjust the ratio, as desired. The longer it sits, the more intense... up to about 18 months.

Finishing Steps

  1. Enjoy extract in cooking and baking and more. Reuse beans for more extract, vanilla sugar, powder, etc. May use grade A caviar in cooking and other baked items.
