Frozen Vanilla Custard
A yummy way to make frozen custard at home using a Sous Vide and your favorite ice cream maker.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cups of heavy whipping cream
- 1.5 cups of whole milk
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 1.5 tablespoons of vanilla
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment or whisk by hand until fully blended.
- Place mixture in a gallon size zip lock bag and remove as much air as possible.
- Cook at a temperature of 180° for one hour making sure the bag is submerged fully.
- After cooking, place in a ice bath for at least two hours or until completely chilled.
Finishing Steps
- Place chilled mixture in an ice cream maker and finish according to those directions. Enjoy!!
