- Bunch of Thyme
- Bunch of Tarragon
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Msg
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
Directions
- First things first is get your water bath going, i found that if you get hot water running from the tap, your sous vide will take less time to reach desired or set temperature.
- 2nd. Is get your steak out and temper it. Pat dry to help tempering process. Let sit for 15 minutes while you get your ingredient's and bag ready for the bath.
- 3rd. Mince your garlic, and rub it all over your steak.
For the spices:
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp MSG
This maye be enough to cover your steak completely but very lite, if you wish to add more by all means go for it
- 4th. Get your herbs and layer it like a little bed for your steak and place inside bag.
Next get your steak and place on top of herbs.
Next layer the rest of the herbs over the steak and your ready to seal and drop into it's bath!
Place butter on top of herbs
Finishing Steps
- 5th . After your steak is done pull of out bath. Remove from bag and pat dry as best as you can.
Let sit to 15-20 minutes before searing, this will help the steak come down on temperature so you get the perfect sear and keep that juicy pink interior.
Note: the steak will be extremely soft and tender, be gentle with it! It will rip if not handled with caution
- 6th and final step!
Get your pan ripping hot and drizzle your choice of oil or butter.
Make sure your steak has been pat dry
Season with Salt & Pepper(optional)
Carefully place steak in the pan and apply equal pressure for an even sear.
Once seared pull off of heat let sit for 10 minutes before cutting
Now you plate! And enjoy!
