Round Eye Roast
Don’t have time to thaw, but would still like a well-done roast. Make sure your water temp is already at 160 degrees before adding the roast.

Ingredients
- 3lb Round Eye Roast
- 2tsp Kosher Salt
- 2tsp Black Pepper
- 2tsp Garlic Powder
- 8tbs Unsalted Butter (1 stick)
- 2tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 Cup Red Petite Red Gourmet Potatoes
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Cup Baby Carrots
- 1/2 Yellow Onion
- 1 Packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
Directions
- Step 1: Rub down and coat roast with olive oil
Step 2: Apply all ingredients except the butter
Step 3: Add roast to vacuum sealed bag or double bag in ziploc bags
Step 4: Add butter
Step 5: Seal bag or bags
- After bathing for 20 hours add carrots, onion, garlic and potatoes to bag.
- After 24 hours of bathing. Place roast and ingredients into a roast pan. Add 1 packet of Lipton onion soup mix and 4tbs of unsalted butter. Set oven for 325 degrees and cook covered with lid or foil for 1 hour.
Finishing Steps
- Optional: sear in a cast iron skillet.
