Porter Road Denver Steak
The Denver steak comes from a large muscle below the Chuck Eye, good marbling and plenty of beef flavor.
Porter Road is a butcher shop offering hand-cut, high quality meat online for all to enjoy. Frankly, I got tired of seeing my Facebook Group buddies always refer to Porter Road.

Ingredients
- Porter Road Denver Steak
- Salt & Coarse Pepper
Directions
- Salt and pepper the steak, vacuum seal.
Pretty simple.
- Cook for 3-4 hours at your preferred temperature. I cooked mine at 132 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 hours.
- Take it out, drain the juices (can save for later) and pat dry. I re-season with salt and pepper and a little rub (I used Special Ops - brisket).
- Sear in a cast iron pan or your choice of searing options. Hot pan, some folks like to sear with mayo (I love it, but the smoke indoors may be too much). I used a little oil and butter to get a good crust.
- Cut, plate and enjoy.
