No prep (no need to thaw chicken) - Forgot to thaw your meat?! Just got home and don’t have anything to cook? Are the kids being annoying? No problem, just add and extra 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  1. Heat to 149 *F
  2. Retrieve frozen chicken breast from freezer, keep in Ziploc freezer bag
  3. Place directly in preheated water
  4. Take out of water after 1-1/2 hours. Chicken is fully cooked.

Finishing Steps

  1. Season chicken to your preference
  2. Briefly pan or grill sear on high. If pan searing, use a high temp oil. For its flavor, I prefer to use clarified butter which has a smoke point around ~500°F. However, oils such as avocado (~520°F) and canola (~450°F) will do just fine. Remember: Chicken is already cooked. You’re only searing for presentation (e.g. grill marks, color)
  3. Serve with vegetable of choice
  4. Enjoy!
