Marinated flank steak is grilled to perfection for the best Authentic Carne Asada recipe. This tender, grilled meat is full of authentic Mexican flavor. This recipe is based off of one from the world renowned chef of Mexican Cuisine, Rick Bayless. It has been altered so that the average home cook can easily make it at home. Note: Carne asada is traditionally made using skirt steak or flank steak. The two cuts are very similar and can be used interchangeably. For those in a hurry, you can but time in Sous vide to 2hours.

Directions

  1. Marinate minimum of 24hours.
  2. Sous vide 4 hours @129° for rare temp. (Searing will take this up to mid-rare or more)
  3. Grill over high open flame for 2mins a side.

Finishing Steps

  1. Remove from grill once seared on both sides, gently smear 1tbsp Butter on top.
  2. Cover with pan lid and rest for minimum of 5 minutes
  3. Slice/cut against the grain, serve.
