Chinese BBQ pork tenderloin

This recipe is using the chinese BBQ sauce to marinate. It’s really delicious with some sweetness to it.

  1. Preheat a water bath using the precision cooker to 140f.
  2. Remove all the silver skin from the tenderloins.
  3. Mix the brown sugar, 1/4 cup honey, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, five spice powder, oil and food coloring (if using) in a large bowl. Place the tenderloins in the sauce and marinate it in the fridge for at least 3 hrs.
  4. Preheat a water bath to 140F
  5. Save the marinate sauce. Put the tenderloins in the ziplock bag and placed the bags in the water bath. Make sure it’s completely air free. Cook for 2 hrs.
  6. Put the reserved sauce in a small pot and add in the extra honey. Bring to simmer over medium high and cook for 3-5 mins until syrupy. Remove from heat.
  7. When the pork tenderloins are done cooking, remove the pork from the water bath and remove them from the bag. Carefully pat the pork dry using paper towel.

Finishing Steps

  1. Preheat your broiler. Brush half of the syrup on the pork tenderloins and broil for 3 mins. Flip them over and brush the remaining sauce and broil for another 3 mins. Enjoy.
