GingerRookes Chilli Infused Vodka (Next Level Bloody Mary)

This is amazing in a Bloody Mary (see recipe below) or Perfect in Vodka Russian Roulette. Sous vide machine is not just for cooking. You can also infuse alcohol, water etc etc. This is my Chilli Infused Vodka. I like it hot so I’m using a Scotch Bonnet Chilli but you can use any chilli try jalapeño and habanero for different heats.

  1. Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 145ºF / 62.8ºC
  2. Pour the vodka (make more if you wish) into a mason jar or a zip top bag and add 1/2 scotch bonnet, habanero or jalapeño pepper. Submerge the jar or bag in the heated water.
  3. Let the magic happen.

Finishing Steps

  1. Once the time is up pour the vodka and chilli through a fine strainer into a measuring jug.
  2. Now pour the infused vodka into a bottle and label it!!! Enjoy and use as a shot or to liven up your cocktails.

For 1 Bloody Mary 40ml Vodka, 10ml GingerRookes Chill Vodka (More if you want a big hit just adjust the plain vodka) 120ml tomato juice 15ml lemon juice 2-4dashes Worcestershire sauce 2 pinches celery salt 2 grinds black pepper If you want it hotter add a few dates of tobacco. But you shouldn’t need it as the kick is already in the vodka.
