Ingredients
- 1.5-2lb Pork Tenderloin
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium if preferred)
- 2 TB minced garlic
- 2 TB Hoisin sauce, divided
- Dash of pepper
- Dash of granulated ginger
- 1.5 TB butter
Directions
- Prepare the marinade. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, garlic, pepper, ginger and 1 TB hoisin sauce.
- Pour marinade into a gallon ziploc bag. Add pork and seal. Place in fridge for 1-4 hours prior to cooking.
- Set your Anova to 140 degrees. While it is warming up, take the marinating pork out of the fridge and let it rest.
- Submerge the pork, removing all air in the bag using the water displacement method. Lip the bag to the side of you container using a binder clip. Let cook for two hours.
Finishing Steps
- After two hours, the pork is done and can be removed from the bag. Using a set of tongs, remove and set on a clean plate.
- Using several paper towels, blot all sides of the pork to remove the excess moisture. Allow to rest for 10-15 minutes.
- In a heavy bottomed skillet, heat up 1.5 TB butter on on high. Brown each side (3) of the pork loin for 60 seconds each.
- Remove the pork from the pan and place on a clean plate to rest. Brush on the remaining 1 TB of hoisin sauce on the pork to finish.
- Allow pork to rest 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite vegetables or rice.
