Ingredients for 2

  • Tuna steak

  • Salt

  • Fresh thyme

  • Olive oil

  • 1/2 c white sesame seeds

  • 1/4 c black sesame seeds

  • Pepper

Directions

  • Step 1

    Set your Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 105.0ºF / 40.6ºC.

  • Step 2

    Salt & pepper steaks with a light brush of EVOO. Add fresh thyme. Bag the steaks. Add to cooker. Use water disbursement method.

  • Step 3

    Combine sesame seeds on a plate

    • Stovetop

    • Step 0

      After an hour, heat up cast iron skillet over medium high heat.

    • Step 1

      While pan is heating, cover all sides of steak with sesame seeds.

    • Step 2

      When pan starts to smoke add oil. Sear steaks 1 1/2 minutes on each side. White seeds turn golden.
